Local Community Learning Initiative

An LCLI student visits with Dr. Jay Smith

Local Community Learning Initiative YTI’s Local Community Learning Initiative [LCLI] is designed to make learning accessible right where you live. Classes are held at convenient times, typically during the evening or on weekend, and include opportunity for class discussion as well as lectures on the topic. LCLI classes are FREE — all you pay for is any recommended books in conjunction with the class. If you don’t need to pursue a degree, and you don’t have much extra time, but want to benefit from quality teaching in a specific area, LCLI classes offer a convenient way to gain biblical knowledge and key ministry skills.

Past LCLI Topics Include:

  • Interpreting the Bible

  • Following the Postmodern Jesus: Issues, Insults and Answers

  • Being “Care-Full” in a Careless World

  • Parenting in the Age of iPhones, Disney, and “Twerking”

  • Missional Parenting
