The Yellowstone Center celebrated groundbreaking for its Bozeman campus at a ceremony on Thursday, June 2.
Work on infrastructure improvement, including the extension of Graf Street from South 19th to South 3rd Avenue, upgrade to traffic signals, and sewer and water main extensions to serve the area, has already begun. Construction on Phase I of the Center facilities, with recreational amenities, a café, fine arts studios, a chapel, a library, offices, classrooms, and landscaping, will commence later this year.
Yellowstone Theological Institute, which has been holding week-long intensive classes at various Gallatin Valley venues since early 2015, plans to be in residence at the property by the fall of 2017.
“The Yellowstone Center is born out of a generous Christian faith, a faith that does not judge and loves deeply,” said Dr. Smith in brief remarks during the ceremony. “It is a faith that loves Bozeman and seeks to build bridges of peace, joy and cooperation in our community, our state and our region. We desire to complement, and partner with our fellow non-profit and educational institutions in Bozeman for the improvement of our community.”
