Amy Figgins is the executive office administrator for Yellowstone Theological Institute. She is a longtime resident of Bozeman where she lives with her husband Matt and children Brooklyn and Derik.
Tell us a little bit about yourself—background, family, hobbies, etc.
My name is Amy Figgins and I have worked for YTI for almost 2 years. I am the oldest of three. I grew up in Western Massachusetts until I moved to Montana at age 14. Leaving behind a lot of family, the adjustment was difficult, but Bozeman would soon be my permanent home. I graduated from Bozeman High and attended MSU
While in high school I met the love of my life, Matt. I am proud to say we have been married for 18 years and have two beautiful children, Brooklyn and Derik. We enjoy camping, boating, fishing, tennis, and everything outdoors.
Describe some of your responsibilities at the YTI office.
I am the executive office administrator. I do a lot of different projects around the office like getting the library situated, assisting the President, and just helping out where I can.
What do you appreciate about YTI’s vision?
I joined the YTI family and can see the vision of bringing all kinds of people together with the arts and adventure as well as our faith. It is wonderful to see students every morning and seeing YTI growing.
What do you love about living in the Gallatin Valley?
I love living in Bozeman—it’s become home. Everyday I look at the beautiful landscape and think there is no other place to be. It truly is breathtaking.
