Introduction to Theology is a basic historical survey of the development of theology from the first century to the present day. It takes care to investigate the first creeds, the canonization of scripture, catholic orthodoxy and heresy, Orthodoxy, the Reformation, Modern theology, Evangelicalism, and the Postmodern turn. The course is designed to give the student a contextual background for Christian theological claims.

May be taken as THEO 531 for 3 credits in YTI’s Master of Arts in Theological Studies and Diploma of Christian Theology programs, or audited for personal enrichment.
