BIB 6302 - Old Testament: The Histories

This course offers a comprehensive study of what are called the “Former Prophets” (Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Ezra, and Nehemiah) in the Hebrew Bible. Students will examine the historical context, literary artistry, and theological message of these books, with special attention to key themes such as leadership, covenant faithfulness and eschatological implications. Emphasis is placed on interpretive issues and texts for understanding the full biblical narrative.
