THEO 532: Bellingham, WA - Theology for the Church

3 credits

Since the founding of the church, its members have sought to articulate its beliefs in light of the context of the day. THEO 532 examines the earliest articulations of the Christian experience, belief, and consequent ethos, with their evolution to the present day. The course takes students from the biblical confessions through the patristic creeds, to the reformed confessions, general Christian doctrines, the 20th century systematic constructions, and the renewal of Christian theological ethics in the postmodern era. The course has a special emphasis on classic Christian teachings (doctrine) for the contemporary church.
