Women in the ancient world were not much more than property. Yet the women who followed, served, and ministered to Jesus were ultimately on the stage when he rose from the dead, and it was they who were the first to tell others that he was risen.
I am called Didymus or Thomas—both of which mean “the twin.” I was one of the 12 that Jesus chose to follow him. Since you have asked me about what happened in Jerusalem when Jesus was crucified, I will tell you some of the story in the little time I have.
