ADV 531 - Introduction to Adventure Studies

ADV 531 introduces the student to the fundamental nature of “Adventure” ministry or “outdoor” ministry. It defines “adventure,” then touches on the biblical backgrounds for adventure ministry. It investigates the human understanding of adventure, and why humans actually need adventure. Finally, the course discusses the physical issues of adventure, and how adventure can negatively, or positively influence mind and body.
