Other Academic Programs at YTI
Looking for a different program? YTI has a variety of academic offerings to meet your interests, vocational needs, and spiritual journey.
Master of Divinity
The Master of Divinity (MDiv) has long been considered the standard preparation for formal ministry in the church. YTI’s MDiv provides graduates with a deep knowledge of Scripture, theology, and culture, along with a wide array of ministry skills. The total MDiv curriculum is 75–84 hours (depending on whether students study biblical languages).
Master of Arts
YTI’s Master of Arts (MA) is a 36-hour program (37 hours for the Adventure Studies concentration) designed to give students the opportunity to specialize in a particular area of interest. Students desiring to pursue focused academic studies in fields such as Adventure Studies, Leadership, Bible, Theology, Culture and Theology, and/or Christian Spirituality may choose the MA in Christian Studies program, while students interested in ministry, either in the church or a parachurch organization, may wish to complete the MA in Christian Ministry degree.
Diploma of Christian Theology
The Diploma program provides an introduction to essential areas of biblical knowledge and theological understanding, and allows the student 6 elective courses to tailor their program to suit their educational and vocational goals. Diploma students share the classroom experience with YTI’s master’s students in this 30-credit-hour program, but course requirements are tailored to the distinct purposes of the Diploma.
