CUL 7301 (SPRING 2026) - Narnia and the Seven Planets: A Literary, Theological, and Cosmological Perspective

3 credits

This course offers an immersive journey into the imaginative and spiritual architecture of C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia, guided by Michael Ward’s meticulously researched book, Planet Narnia: The Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C. S. Lewis. We will follow each of the seven Chronicles, tracing how Lewis weaves medieval cosmology, biblical theology, and Christian hope into these epic narratives. This course challenges students to think theologically, read imaginatively, and live adventurously in a cosmos still enchanted by the glory of God.
