Rev. Jim Keena

Professor of Pastoral Theology

The Rev. Jim Keena was senior pastor of the Evangelical Free Church of Bozeman from 2008 through early 2020 when he joined the faculty at YTI. In 2019, he entered the Doctor of Ministry program at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and expects to complete his degree in 2024. His primary area of study is preaching. He was associate pastor for three years at Long Grove (Illinois) Community Church and senior pastor for 13 years at Siloam Springs Bible Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He and his wife, Kim, have been married for over 40 years and have seven children, four sons-in-law, and ten grandchildren. He loves traveling, taking photos, hiking, and cheering for his favorite teams – the Montana State University Bobcats and St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Theological Interests

The Rev. Keena’s passion is teaching God’s Word, pastoring God’s people and equipping the next generation of Christian leaders. His goal is to prepare future pastors, teachers and leaders to thrive in Christian ministry. He has served as an adjunct instructor and guest lecturer at several schools during his long career.
