On June 24, 2026, Yellowstone Theological Institute, Montana’s only graduate-level seminary, was elected to associate membership in the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) Committee on Accreditation at their Biennial meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
This election begins a multi-year process culminating in full membership in the ATS. Full membership will make YTI one of only 280 schools in the United States and Canada to be accredited. In this group is included Yale Divinity School, Harvard Divinity, Duke, Vanderbilt, Baylor’s George W. Truett Seminary, Fuller Seminary, Regent College, Portland Seminary, Covenant Seminary, and many others: the best of the best. It will take YTI three to four years to complete the accreditation process.
