A native of West Virginia raised in Pittsburgh, Pa., Dr. Roy Millhouse comes to YTI after ten years teaching Bible, theology, and ministry at Sterling College, KS. He has a Ph.D. in Bible from Baylor University, an MA in New Testament from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a BA in Biblical Languages from Calvary University. He also served in pastoral ministry at churches in Arkansas and Texas. His research interests include Greek pedagogy, apocalypticism, the Roman Empire, and narrative approaches to biblical interpretation.
Roy loves sports, with hockey at the top of the list. He bleeds black, gold, and green (Pittsburgh and Baylor). He is an avid hiker, cyclist, and a very amateur geologist, often collecting rocks without knowing anything about them.
Roy and his wife Mikki celebrated their 30th anniversary last year. They have two grown children, Benjamin and Jillian (now Mapstone, after marrying Jacob!). Their third child, Matt, graduates from high school this year.
