Seasonal Lecturer in Pastoral Ministry

David Beavis is the lead pastor of The Table Church in Belgrade, Montana. The Table is a unique expression of a church gathering. Beginning with a potluck breakfast and concluding with table discussions, The Table is a prophetic witness of diverse fellowship in a world of division and digital disconnection.

During his free time, David enjoys reading, writing on Substack, basketball, and long walks with his wife,
Laura. His favorite pastoral tasks include extended time in prayer for the church and community, studying
and meditating deeply on the Scriptures, and listening to people and to the Spirit’s guidance in pastoral
care appointments.

Theological Interests

David’s doctoral work focused on the development of future pastors for the ancient duties of pastoring along with the present day skills necessary for leadership in an ever-changing world. His research led him to develop a framework and write a curriculum based on the framework that focuses on holistic, practical training for the next generation of pastors. Upon completing his doctorate, David launched a coaching practice for young leaders (ages 22-35) who, in spite of the challenges of our complex and volatile world, aspire to pastoral leadership.
