ART 5301 - Introduction to Arts and Theology

Why do human beings experience attraction to the fine and performing arts? Why is art such a powerful representative of the human experience, including the experience of the divine? ART 5301 presents a history of the integration of belief and artistic creation. In this process, the student will come to understand the role of the imagination, art as worship, and develop a rudimentary theology of the arts.
