Expressions of Christianity have often swung between two extremes: rigid legalism or spiritual triumphalism. SPR 6301 engages key writings from the Christian spiritual tradition—from the desert fathers and mothers to contemporary charismatic movements—to help students avoid both dry legalism and overly triumphalist spirituality.
